The Cool·lective
Cool is an aesthetic of attitude, behavior, comportment, appearance and style, influenced by and a product of the Zeitgeist. Because of the varied and changing connotations of cool, as well its subjective nature, the word has no single meaning. It has associations of composure and self-control (cf. the OED definition) and often is used as an expression of admiration or approval.
Un colectivo es un grupo de personas que comparten o están motivados por un mismo tema u objeto de interés, o que trabajan juntos por un mismo objetivo. Se caracterizan por compartir y ejercer poder político y social, y tomar decisiones basados en el consenso y principios igualitarios. Aunque un colectivo puede buscar beneficios económicos esto no es una condición definitoria, lo cual lo diferencia de una cooperativa.
Un Col·lectiu és una agrupació de persones que decideixen unir-se de manera voluntària, lliure i solidària per aconseguir una finalitat comuna d’interès general o particular, sense ànim de lucre. Per fer-ho es comprometen a posar en comú llurs coneixements, activitats o recursos econòmics, amb caràcter temporal o indefinit. A Catalunya, les associacions estan regulades per la Llei 7/1997, del 18 de juny i també per el Codi Civil de Catalunya, Llibre tercer, Títol II, que deroga en part la llei 7/1997.
